…and we’re hanging tough. The weather is absolutely gorgeous (I have lots of pics, just can’t get them posted, Internet is too slow and spotty). It’s been completely clear with lots of sun and the snow is good. We free skied and did drills the first two days and trained GS today. We had some spacing issues for the first two runs but finished up with some good stuff. We do recovery every day after skiing…recovery the first day involved hiking straight up a monster hill that was covered with cow poop…the second day we went for a “walk” which involved again, heading up some switchbacks, then going through a cattle tunnel (more cow poop)and following the cattle path along a gorgeous ridge. It ended down along a glacial river. It was pretty cool, all except for the cow poop, which is the prevalent smell in Hintertux! We have a day off tomorrow then on to slalom training. Can’t wait to see the pics! Dislike your idea of “recovery.” LOL!

I hear you on the recovery. I think sometimes they forget that a couple of us live at sea level! Or quite possibly, it’s to show us how much harder we have to work to deal with it. However…I’m not sore at all and I’ve been skiing well right through the end of the day…thank you CrossFit! Miss you guys – really! Well, maybe not the burpees.

Hope you both have some good barn boots for all that cow poop. You should know how to spell good bye in German!
    ps
Thanks for the extra on the CWA…just in case I forget

Just think all this training, working out, dieting stuff just may pay off! Keep the drive alive. Can’t wait to hear about all the exciting stuff from the trip. Tell sunshine (staci) hi for us. By the way, imagine…all that cow poop is probably better that comming across some slimy “snakes” during your hikes!! Think of the impression you would leave on your teammates if you encounter a snake! LOL! See ya when you get back home. Have fun and be safe!

  4. Hey Kim – this is just all sooooo cool!!!! You go girl. Best to you and Staci. See ya soon I hope to hear all about your venture.
